Team Homan Welcomes Heather Nedohin as New Coach

OTTAWA, ON – August 25, 2025 – Team Homan is proud to announce that Heather Nedohin will be joining the team as coach beginning with the 2025/26 season.

Based in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Heather brings an exceptional curling résumé and a proven track record of success both on and off the ice. A World Junior Champion (1996), three-time Scotties Tournament of Hearts Champion (1998, 2012, 2021*), and two-time World bronze medallist (1998, 2012), she has appeared in seven career Scotties and cemented her legacy as one of Canada’s most respected competitors. More recently, Heather stepped in as a “super spare” for Team Homan at the 2023 Saville Shootout, where she skipped the team to victory while Rachel Homan was away with her newborn son.

“I’m honoured to join Team Homan in this role,” said Nedohin. “Having had the opportunity to work with this group in 2023, I know firsthand their talent, determination, and passion for the sport. Rachel, Tracy, Emma, Sarah, and Rachelle are world-class athletes, and I look forward to helping them achieve their goals as we set our sights on the Olympic Trials.”

“Heather has been a mentor, competitor, and now a trusted leader for our team,” added Homan. “From sparing with us in 2023 to now taking on this coaching role, she brings incredible experience and a fresh perspective. We’re thrilled to have her on the bench as we begin the new season.”

Team Homan launches their 2025/26 campaign at the AMJ Shorty Jenkins Classic in Cornwall, ON, from September 10–14. The full season schedule, along with sponsor announcements, will be released in the coming weeks.
